Have you ever had to do something that you knew was good for you, and in the long run would be beneficial, yet you hate that it's not a choice? Can you remember a time of trial and tribulation that above all has been harder than anything you have ever done. Where you have to choose between yourself or someone you love. That no matter what kind of pain you are in you know you have to push through just for that glimmer of hope that shines like a star in a black night sky. Just a speck of hope in a see of vast hurt.

Contrary to what you may think I'm here to encourage you, that no matter what you are much stronger than you ever believed yourself to be. This life is nothing to laugh at, and is not to be thrown away carelessly. Whether suicide or reclusion you cannot hide from the truth. Because the truth will set you free, even though it may hurt a whole lot first. I know first hand how strong of a staggering blow that heartache can be. It can lead you to places you never believed you would be, and it can take away from you the very essence of who you are. But i implore you with every fiber of my being do not fall victim to the chains of oppression!! Whether your prison is alcohol, drugs, sex, lust, money, gambling, or any addiction really. Please don't let yourself become so enveloped that you yourself believe that it's who you are. Always allow yourself to shine through! Remember that the dark always has to give way to even the smallest little light, and if cannot exist unless the light goes out!! The truth that we don't know the outcomes or the ending cannot be changed, because no one man knows the details of eternity. But you can make you future!! Simply put build your dreams or someone will hire you to build theirs. All you can do is love with everything you have and give your best shot, then pray for the best. But truly if you love someone you can and will do anything to make certain that they get what they need.

 I know when your heart aches it feels like nothing in this world can clear up the problem, and that your face may feel like a waterfall. But know that if little else there is someone out there who loves you without any rhyme or reason as to why. Because beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, you may not think that you are even remotely attractive, but I promise you that someone finds you absolutely stunning. No one else even compares to you in their eyes and they would give everything just to see you smile. If you are that person and you know how you feel don't let your emotions cloud your judgement. Don't let it become about keeping your vision or making it how you would be happy. Understand that as much as it may hurt. They don't have to choose you just because you did. They may love you and they may want to make everything work. But sometimes it just doesn't for one reason or another. And it may just be meant for later, you never really know. 

This life I meant for one purpose alone and that is so that God Himself can know you. Despite all the heartache and problems of this world He will always be there and will never forsake you. That's not always easy to accept I know but He is love and without Him you can't fully love them. Give Him your struggles and just watch as that mountain becomes nothing but an anthill. He will succeed in all things because this is His world. 

In closing I know all to well what it feels like to have all your dreams seemingly taken in a moment. The way your heart just seems to ache and it never wants to go away. But think deeply before you act you never know who you will affect. You never know who you will hurt. Sometimes the best thing is for you to take a step back and let some fresh air in. If you feel like waiting then do so and pray it's meant to be. If you don't then leave clear your mind and relearn who you are in this moment. In everything you do make certain that you are doing so in love, for without love any action is meaningless. Always encourage and lift each other up and always fight to stay above the waves. Their is a Chinese parable "the man who wins the fight will be the one who stands one more time than he falls". Never give up!! 

Stand strong!

For starters

Typically to start a blog you start off by telling a little about yourself. So I'll start by telling you that I am very unique in many different ways. I'm a musician but I don't really label myself as anything. I am actively pursuing a degree in music then later ministry. My end goal is to be a pastor, I'm not completely sure when or where, but I know God will guide me. But this blog isn't about me really. I created this so that anyone who reads it will be challenged not just mentally or spiritually, but to make you think more deeply about everything in your life. I want you to know who you are and what you believe! But more importantly I want you to be able to defend it and to know exactly why it is what you believe. So to sum up why I chose the name is that I believe that we are all soldiers of our cause, whether you are a Christian or not you stand for something. I am a Christian through and through not because of any one person or thing, but that I had a personal experience where God reached for me personally. I pray that He does the same for you as I know He will. But I want to encourage all of you no matter your beliefs to stand for those who are lost and broken. For those who are hurting and don't know where to turn. That you would treat everyone with respect and love that with every word or action you will choose to lift someone up rather than put them down. And in turn people will do the same for you. The quote I would like to leave you with is "stand for something or you'll fall for anything" I'm all for being open minded, but you need to know where you stand, not to say you can't change your mind, just don't be swayed at every turn. Just know that every day you have people who love you and who want you to succeed. 

Know that God loves you and He will guide you.
